Honda Civic Type R Concept Model set for Worldwide Debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show
February 12, 2014 - Honda today reveals its 2014 Geneva Motor Show line-up, including the worldwide debut of the Civic Type R Concept model, the European debut of the Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) Concept, the powertrain layout of the new NSX and the 2014 Civic World Touring Car Championship race car.

Honda's appearance at the 2014 Geneva Motorshow will lead with the worldwide reveal of the Civic Type R Concept model, providing the styling direction for the exterior design of the highly-anticipated production version that debuts in 2015. Dubbed by the design team as a 'racing car for the road,' its bold and expressive styling reflects the strong performance characteristics for which Type R is renowned.
Advanced Technology Leadership - FCEV Concept
Further underlining Honda's leadership in the development of advanced technology, the FCEV Concept makes its first European appearance. Sleek and aerodynamic, the Concept points to the potential styling direction of Honda's next-generation fuel cell electric vehicle which launches in the U.S. and Japan in 2015, followed by Europe.
Further Evolution - Honda NSX
Making its Motorshow debut, Honda will highlight the powertrain layout of the new NSX supercar. The model showcases the longitudinal, V6 direct injection engine with twin turbo alongside Honda's innovative 3 motor Sport Hybrid SH-AWD® (Super Handling All Wheel Drive?) hybrid system.
Racing Spirit - 2014 Civic World Touring Car Championship livery
Following victory in the Manufacturers' Championship of the 2013 World Touring Car Championship, Honda will also reveal the livery of the 2014 Civic WTCC car. Additionally it will showcase its long history in Formula One with the RA271 that competed in 1964 making its debut in the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring and the record-breaking turbo-charged RA168E engine which dominated the 1988 season.

Honda Exhibits World Premiere of Concept B, a New-Value Concept Model, at the Beijing International Automobile Exhibition (Auto China 2014)
BEIJING, China, April 20, 2014 - Honda Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned Honda subsidiary in China, today exhibited the world premiere of the Concept B at the 13th Beijing International Automobile Exhibition (Auto China 2014, press day: April 20, 2014, public days: April 21-29, 2014). Honda is planning to introduce a mass-production model based on the Concept B in two years.

The Concept B is a concept model for a 5-door model developed exclusively for the Chinese market. An advanced and cool-looking exterior design and excellent practicality are realized in a compact hatchback style that is popular among young generations in China. The development of a mass-production model based on this concept model is in progress, which Honda plans to introduce to the market in two years.
Unveiling a concept model for all-new Spirior (world premiere)

Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd., Honda's automobile production and sales joint venture company in China, today unveiled a concept model for the all-new Spirior. Since it was first introduced in 2009, the Spirior has been providing the joy of driving with its advanced technologies and has been well received primarily by younger customers in urban areas who pursue individuality. The all-new Spirior achieved significant advancements in exterior design, dynamic performance and technologies as well as safety features. With this individualistic and fun-to-drive model, Honda will strive to set a new benchmark in the sporty sedan category. The market introduction of new Spirior is scheduled before the end of this year.
Introducing all-new VEZEL
Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd., an automobile production and sales joint venture company of Honda in China, today introduced the all-new VEZEL (Chinese name: ??) that will enter the middle-class SUV market which is growing continuously in China. Featuring both a coupe-like streamlined exterior design and the excellent practicality of an SUV, the VEZEL achieves class-topping* cabin space and fuel economy. Guangqi Honda is planning to introduce this model to the market later this year.

Introducing the third-generation Fit
10 years after Fit was first introduced in China, Guangqi Honda today introduced the third-generation Fit featuring further refined exterior and interior design as well as advancements in all including dynamic performance, fuel economy, equipment, comfort and maneuverability. The all-new Fit will go on sale on May 29, 2014 targeting primarily younger customers purchasing their first cars.

New Cloud-Based HondaLinkTM Connected Car System Helps Drivers Put Away Their Phones While Maintaining Intuitive Access to Their Favourite Media

MARKHAM, July 18, 2012 Honda today unveiled HondaLink?, a new in-vehicle connectivity system that will debut this fall on the all-new, ninth-generation 2013 Honda Accord. Featuring the first automotive OEM application of Aha® by Harman, HondaLink will provide a personalized experience connecting drivers to thousands of cloud-based news, information and entertainment feeds from around the world, using an intuitive, audio-system based interface.

"HondaLink will enable customers to put away their phone and still stay connected to the people, music and media they love," said Dave Jamieson, assistant vice president of Honda Canada. "By creating an intuitive and customizable user interface, HondaLink allows drivers to access digital content as easily as choosing a radio station."
Honda's intuitive new HondaLink Smartphone application allows owners to preset content on their phone. Once in the car, consumers can enjoy personalized content accessible via voice recognition, steering-wheel mounted controls and in-dash audio system controls. With a tethered Smartphone serving as a conduit to a wealth of cloud-based media, HondaLink creates a unique, connected driving experience.
"Honda's strategy is about leveraging the cloud to bring a wealth of new information and services to Honda owners," said Jamieson. "This is the next evolution of the connected car and the connected customer."
Through the Aha service, for example, HondaLink users can listen to Facebook and Twitter audio newsfeeds, podcasts from NPR, location-based personalized restaurant listings from Yelp!, and access internet music services such as Slacker. The service is free and instantly accessible from the cloud.
Aha delivers a user-friendly experience requiring infrequent Smartphone software updates, with in-vehicle content and channel access updating simply and automatically throughout the vehicle life. And content available from HondaLink will grow as the system continues to expand its services for Honda owners. HondaLink will also incorporate voice-to-text SMS text services with pre-programmed responses, which Honda introduced on the 2012 CR-V.
