Exterior Design
The biggest upgrades the Sport trim sees over the EX is in this exterior design realm, providing both for a look that mirrors the sport name, while introducing even more utility. The 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels are large enough to take on all the sport adventures you get yourself in, while their dark look creates a gorgeous accent against the body colour, a true sport car style. Even more sporty elements come through with the centre exhaust finisher, leaving everyone in your rear under the spell of its sport accents that are perfected down to the finest of detail. Right above that sits the deck lid spoiler, for an improved look and to enhance the aerodynamics of the sedan. Halogen fog lights provide another feature that balances utility and style, letting you see clearly in any environment, with its light bar cutting through fog in your way.
Interior Features
The interior features in the Sport trim remain much the same from the previous trim editions, except for one prime difference that helps set this trim apart. The 2020 Sport trim sees aluminum-trimmed sport pedals enhanced from the EX, which provide a racetrack-ready look with a supreme grip that’ll have your feet in control no matter the speed or roads you’re maneuvering through. While that’s the only upgrade, the interior still has a host of standard features like the leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, 60/40 split fold-down rear seatback and more. When it comes to accented style pieces in your Civic Sedan, the Sport trim is here to accommodate the entire sports car experience.

Power & Efficiency
Just like with the interior features, the performance features remain the same in the Sport trim from the EX, outside of one truly fun and versatile feature that only serves to improve your driving dynamics. Steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters seamlessly blend into the interior, allowing you to feel some of that manual-shifting control while on the CVT. When you don’t want to rely on the transmission doing all the work for you, take advantage of the quick gear shifting of these convenient paddle shifters. Beyond those, the engine power remains the same, but now in a sportier trim that more truly represents the performance found within.
Technology
Sport comes down to looks and performance, so the technology in the Sport trim remains the same from the lower level EX. What that means, though, is still a ton of connectivity and entertainment means that complements the sporty style with convenient utility. The 7-inch TFT centre metre display is especially vital to keep track of all of your vehicle’s important info if you’re going up to high speeds, while options like Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility lets you sync your phone and music library so you can match the the thrills you’re creating in the driver’s seat through the sound system. A 180-watt audio system complete with 8 speakers to fully immerse yourself in musically narrated audio pleasure.
Safety
A host of safety features coming standard is important no matter the trim level, that’s why outside of the EX’s addition of Honda LaneWatch from the lower trims (which the Sport also has) all of the safety and drive-assisted tech has remained the same from the DX to the Sport. From classic features (with their own modern touches) in the i-SRS airbag system with SmartVent side and side curtain airbags, to the Collision Mitigation Braking and Road Departure Mitigation systems that serve to prevent accidents happening in the first place. Staying in your lane and being aware of those around you has never been easier than with the aforementioned Honda Lanewatch blind spot display, alongside Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist. Safety will always remain a core focus of every Honda vehicle, and the Civic Sedan Sport is a continuing legacy of this.
