For device charging, the center console has a designated spot where you can keep two phones next to a USB-A and a USB-C charging port, both of which are illuminated. Additionally, the Sport and Touring trims feature two illuminated USB-C charging ports for rear seat passengers.

Stronger Performance

In the latest CR-V, Honda has made significant changes to the engine lineup. The Sport and Sport Touring trims now come standard with a new 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle hybrid engine paired with two electric motors, producing 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. Honda claims that this system has been refined to provide a smoother driving experience compared to the previous generation CR-V hybrid. This engine also enables the CR-V to have a towing capacity of up to 1,000 pounds for the first time. The EX and EX-L trims have an updated 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a CVT automatic transmission.

Honda has improved the engine and transmission combination to reduce noise and vibration. All grades of the new CR-V are available with a revised all-wheel-drive system, with the Sport Touring having it as standard. This system is enhanced further by the ability to direct up to 50% of the engine’s torque to the rear wheels, as well as the new Hill Descent Control feature. Furthermore, the CR-V has four driving modes (Normal/Sport/Snow/ECON) that adjust the vehicle’s dynamics based on the driving conditions.
