More Power
The 2023 Honda Civic Type R (CTR) is powered by 315 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. This marks a 9-horsepower and 15-pound-feet improvement over the previous-generation automobile, which had totals of 306 and 295, respectively. Maximum horsepower remains at 6500 rpm, while peak torque is now generated between 2600 and 4000 rpm. While the new CTR has the same turbocharged 2.0-liter 4 cylinder as previously, Honda made many changes that led to the power increase that will improve engine responsiveness. A freer-flowing air intake, a revamped turbo, and a new exhaust system with an active valve that now opens at higher rpm are among the improvements.
