Family
Literacy Day, held annually on January 27th, was developed by ABC
CANADA Literacy Foundation and HONDA CANADAin 1999 to encourage families to read and
learn together on a daily basis. Thousands of Canadians take part in this
initiative every year by hosting Family
Literacy Day parties or participating in literacy activities in schools,
libraries and literacy organizations across the country.
This
year, Cambridge Centre Honda participated by holding the "Fill a Fit" book drive. From January 16th to February
13th, a 2010 Honda Fit was on display in the
showroom and became the "collection box" for the books.
Thanks
to community support, over 450 books were donated;making the book drive was a
huge success!
